The quartet received the first prize for string quartets, the $30,000 Robert Salzer Foundation Prize alongside the $8,000 Audience Prize for String Quartet.
The Terra String Quartet, based in New York, received second prize, and the Risus Quartet, based between South Korea and Texas, was awarded third prize.

We could see why Affinity Quartet wins awards – the answer is in the attention to detail and emotional breadth. commenting on performance of the quartet at Beleura House and Gardens earlier this month – https://classicmelbourne.com.au/beleura-house-concerts…/

I write to offer my personal huge congratulations and thanks for what you have all achieved for a period of quite some years now, culminating in your triumphs in London and now Melbourne.
