ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON SHOW Sunday 7th July 19 – 2pm
July 7 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm$20 – $22
A delightful musical show relating the adventures, triumphs and tribulations of great Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson, “Sing Me A Song” is presented with humour and warmth by singer/composer/guitarist Neil Adam and fiddler/narrator Judy Turner. Based on his letters, published work and above all his poetry (remade as song) the story is one of those 19th century classics that deserve to be told and retold. Traveling with Louis and his entourage from Scotland to France, the USA, all around the Pacific and eventually to Samoa, the show warms and enlightens audiences, in equal measure.
“I can’t recommend the RLS show highly enough – it is a huge hit with audiences across the globe.” Anna-Wendy Stevenson, Head of Applied Music, Lews Castle College, University of The Highlands and Islands
“We had the most wonderful evening in the company of Judy and Neil. Their love and passion for RLS is so warm and genuine and their thoughtful and unique presentation of the life of RLS, told through images, songs, prose and poetry, is absolutely mesmerising.” Trina Gavan, Senior Area Librarian, North Berwick Council, East Lothian, Scotland
“Thank you once more for last night’s concert. The selections you made, the music crafted around the words, and the narrative between were all just wonderful.” John MacFie, owner, Stevenson House, Edinburgh
