Introduction
The The Vampires Skydancer Tour marks a major milestone for one of Australia’s most inventive jazz groups. For 20 years, The Vampires have shaped a bold and recognisable sound in Australian contemporary jazz. As a result, their music continues to attract new listeners across Australia, Europe and the UK.
About The Vampires
The Vampires — Jeremy Rose, Nick Garbett, Noel Mason and Alex Masso — formed in Sydney in 2005. Since then, they have released eight albums, toured internationally and performed at major jazz festivals. In addition, their collaborations with Chris Abrahams, Lionel Loueke and Shannon Barnett have expanded their musical world. Even so, the quartet’s warm, groove‑driven style remains at the heart of their sound.
The The Vampires Skydancer Tour celebrates the release of Skydancer, the band’s newest album. The record blends acoustic foundations with subtle electronics and cinematic textures. As a result, it builds on the spacious world of their ARIA Award‑winning album Nightjar. Even with these new layers, the band keeps the immediacy and energy that define their live shows.
